Harry/Draco Eighth Year 2015 Fest Round Up!

We have finally come to the end of the fest! Thank you so much to all of the participants, beta-readers, and all the people involved in the fest. That was an awesome ride that resulted in 15 wonderful works (12 stories and 3 arts) of Harry and Draco with the Eighth Year trope as a theme. This fest is far from perfect, but we hope we'll have another, improved Eighth Year fest again!

Without further ado, here is the round up of the fest submissions. The reveal will be up tomorrow, so you will have the time to catch up with reading and enjoying the submissions! :D

FICS

• FIC: Kiss it Better on AO3 (PG-13): There is a serious outbreak of an allergy mutation at Hogwarts, and Harry and Draco are quarantined together.


• FIC: Of Infinite Longings on AO3 (R): "Draco likes books. Harry doesn’t, but he thinks he might like Draco."


• FIC: I'll Pay My Dues on AO3 (NC-17): "Every child knows if you have a debt you pay it back, it is as easy as that. But of course Potter has to be difficult about it."


• FIC: Dead! on AO3 (NC-17): There’s a new student amongst the eighth years. He’s good friends with Draco, well-liked by all of Harry’s friends, and is the spitting image of Tom Riddle. Harry never could resist an opportunity for stalking and investigating.


• FIC: Don’t mind if I keep your tie (And your heart, babe) on AO3 (G): The eighth year common room has a parrot in it, courtesy of McGonagall and her mad search for interhouse bonding.
  
  Most of the time, it's just there, until one day it repeats "Potter has a damn fine arse." And the Slytherins know exactly who the parrot's mimicking...
  
  Draco is not amused.


• FIC: That can’t be right. on AO3 (NC-17): Wherein Harry and Draco both discover that some things are just not what one expects.


• FIC: Nice is as Nice Does on AO3 (PG-13): But even a nice Malfoy is a Malfoy up to no good. Nothing else can explain the thrill strumming in Harry's fingertips, or the hum of anticipation in his gut.


• FIC: Deep Waters on AO3 (NC-17): When eighth year turns out to be just as unpleasant as Draco had suspected, he looks for something positive he can do for himself. Like trying to teach himself how to swim in the Great Lake. Only things don't go as planned when Potter somehow finds out.


• FIC: Two Weeks and Four Walls on AO3 (soft R): Hannah Abbott brought an unusual souvenir back from holiday and shared it with her study group.


• FIC: Hide and Peek on AO3 (NC-17): Draco watches Harry, then Harry watched Draco.  It’s all quite innocent, yet Harry’s emotions thrown into the mix change things.


• FIC: Dear Diary on AO3 (PG): // This can’t possibly go worse than the last time I kept a diary. //
    After the war, Harry picks up a journal to write in… and it writes back. Luckily, it’s not a Horcrux on the other end this time.


• FIC: The Restricted Section on AO3 (NC-17): Draco can’t admit to himself that Potter following him back into the Restricted Section was a wet-dream and a nightmare all at once.

ART

• ART: One, Two, Three on AO3 (PG): Harry has terrible best friends, and Draco is a very put upon lord of dance. Otherwise known as "Harry And Draco Have To Go To The Ball Together- OR ELSE".


• ART: Secrets on AO3 (G): What happens under the Invisibility Cloak will stay there... or?


• ART: It Was Always You on AO3 (PG): Harry would curse himself if he ever admit that he starts to enjoy the routine with Malfoy; wake up, shower, and then carry Malfoy's books and bag as they go to breakfast together. Malfoy becomes more... tolerable, really, as time goes. He doesn't ask for ridiculous things such as telling Harry to dab Malfoy's mouth after eating or fan him when the weather is too hot.
  

  Also, Malfoy starts to smile around Harry, especially if Harry gives a sarcastic remark about something. Apparently Malfoy has dimples on his cheeks.
